A cool and frosty pick-me-up. Bananas and dates create a rich, caramelly experience, mixed with a boost from protein powder. For a sweeter version, add vanilla extract.

Ingredients
Preparation
  1. Coarsely chop dates. Slice banana into chunks. Place both in a blender.
  2. Add ice cubes, coffee, milk, protein blend, cocoa powder, and vanilla, if using.
  3. Cover and blend until just slushy; add more milk, as needed, to reach desired consistency. Pour into chilled glasses.
Tips

If dates are too hard or brittle, pre-soak them in boiling water until soft, about 10 min. Drain and then chop.

For easier prep, slice banana before freezing. Store slices in a freezer bag or air-tight container.

Perfectly Balance Your Plate

Serve with 1 slice of buttered multigrain toast, and 3 tbsp unsalted almonds.
